The Cedar Rapids Police Department is taking applications for full-time officers. All it takes is time and energy to complete the application and a willingness to work hard and have a great time serving your community.
The Cedar Rapids Police Department is taking applications now thru Friday, February 19, 2010. Applications can be downloaded by visiting the Cedar Rapids Police website at http://www.cedar-rapids.org/police.
Click on the “Career Information” link for more information. Those interested in applying who do not have access to a computer/printer can either stop in at the police department, or if you live over 50 miles away, call 319-286-5440 or 319-286-5528 and an application can be mailed.
Applications can be downloaded from our website and printed at your computer. Once completed, the application will need to be notarized and mailed or brought in with the proper documents.
The hiring process is an intense process, with the end result being that only the best are selected. The following is the 2010 Recruiting Schedule for CRPD applicants:
January 25,– February 19, 2010 Application Handed Out
March 5, 6, or 7, 2010 Written Test
March 6 or 7, 2010 Physical Agility Test
March 8 – 10, 2010 Polygraph Screenings
March 22 – April 9, 2010 Polygraphs
You will be notified of more testing dates.
July 12 – October 22, 2010 Academy
